Topic 28: Blizzcon your way!

Welcome to topic 28 of Z and Cinder’s Blog challenge! Thanks to those who have liked and shared these posts. Remember, if you have a topic you would like to suggest as a challenge, please let us know!

It’s that time again – time for a new challenge topic!

Whether you went in person, watched via a virtual ticket or just caught up with the news via social media; if you play WoW it’s very likely you’ve heard about the next Expansion.  WoW’s next expac’s reception seems to be mixed between joy and dismay in the WoW community and it leads us to ask :

“What would you have announced for the next expansion if you could do Blizzcon your way?”

Imagine if you could have a say in WoW’s direction. Would you have taken the WoW story in a different direction? Would you have chosen different Allied races? Or is it perfect just the way it sounds?

Write your post, then don’t forget to come back here and leave a comment with a link to your blog so that we can add it to this post. Check out the About page for more info. And if you want some stuff to put on your post, go grab some pics from our Stuff! page.

Happy writing!

  1. On behalf of all the orcas over at Alunaria’s Avenue, I am sorry for slacking! I shall be up to speed on the last two topics soon 🙂

  2. I have a fun theme for the next blog challenge 🙂 it’s in roleplay section.

It’s true we’re bound to our nicknames – restricted by names already taken, unability to have both surname and first name, and so on. So the question is: what is your character’s real name? Does he have a surname or a first name? Was your current nickname (if it’s a nickname) given by your allies or foes – or is it a nick from childhood?

In short, it’s expanding your character’s background considering name. I thought of my own blogpost, but I thought it would be unfair to go solo on this topic 🙂

    1. I would give a pair of examples:
      1. Oulu, my draenei warrior, hasn’t earned herself a nickname, and draenei go under single name. She’s yet to carve her honorable nickname in blood.
      2. My humans go under surnames, but they do have names too! For example, my rogue Berringer’s full name is Alice Berringer.
      3. Paitsu is my gnome monk, and this is Pandaren for ‘little pie’, while her real name is of course different and gnomish.
